VIDEO: Twitter community notes fact check claims by Mr Abayomi Arabambi as corrected that Obidatti campaign organisation has 6 spokespersons in all Nigerian states during interview on Arisetv

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Twitter community notes fact check claims by Mr Abayomi Arabambi as corrected that Obidatti campaign organization has 6 spokespersons in all Nigerian states.

FACT CHECK: Are Peter Obi’s Campaign Spokespersons Igbos?

VERDICT: FALSE

PLOT: In a viral video from an Arise TV interview where the Publicity Secretary of a faction of the Labour Party, Abayomi Arabambi was interviewed, he asserted that the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi had imposed Igbo persons on the party. To substantiate his claim, Mr Arabambi who appeared to be disgruntled stated that all Obi’s campaign spokespersons are Igbo, i.e people from the South Eastern part of the country.

Reportera did a fact-finding to verify this claim and here’s a list of the Labour Party Campaign Spokespersons and their respective origins:

1. Yunusa Tanko (North West)
2. Dele Farotimi (South West)
3. Nana Kazaure (North East)
4. Ndi Kato (North West)
5. Kenneth Okonkwo (South East)
6. Ime Ufot (South South)

CONCLUSION: Only one of the 6 spokespersons is Igbo, i.e Kenneth Okonkwo. The spokespersons cut across 5 of the 6 geo-political zones of Nigeria.

The claim by Mr Abayomi Arabambi is completely FALSE.
