PHOTOS: MRSM Tumpat management is confiscating phones of junior female students after exposing sexual predator, Ahmad Syazwan Bin Amin, for sending nudes on Facebook DM texts

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that MRSM Tumpat management is confiscating phones of junior female students after exposing sexual predator, Ahmad Syazwan Bin Amin, for sending nudes on Facebook DM texts.

A teacher accused of paedophilia at MRSM Tumpat in Kelantan has been suspended pending investigations, said MARA Chairman Asyraf Wajdi.

On Mar 28, a social media user alleged that a teacher was still permitted to teach at the boarding school, despite allegations against him.

The Kelantan police have called up several witnesses, including a student and teacher, to facilitate investigations into claims that a teacher at the Tumpat Mara Junior Science College (MRSM) was engaged in paedophilia.

Kelantan police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said they received a report from a student who allegedly was the victim in the case.

"Police have looked at all the contents on their phone, including phone and Whatsapp conversations and feel that there’s a need to conduct an investigation under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and Section 500 of the Penal Code.

"The police will uncover the truth so that a just and transparent investigation can be conducted,” he told reporters at the Ramadan Perdana Iftar event in conjunction with the 217th Police Day at the Kelantan police contingent headquarters here on Sunday (March 31)," he said.

The report, he said, was lodged on Friday at Tumpat police station by the teacher against a female student who had made a social media posting accusing him of the act.

Following the report, police have opened an investigation paper for the case under Section 500 of Penal Code for defamation and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for improper use of network facilities or services to make or spread comments online.

It was reported that Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) has directed an immediate and thorough investigation into the allegations.
