THROWING VIDEO: Lauren Boebert caught on camera as she threw green sneakers pin to honor Uvalde shooting victim, Maite Rodriguez, in the trash

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Lauren Boebert caught on camera as she threw pin honoring Uvalde shooting victim, Maite Rodriguez, in the trash can.

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert was filmed wordlessly threw throwing away a pamphlet calling for gun reform and sharing the story of Maite Rodriguez, one of the 19 students fatally shot in the 2022 Uvalde school massacre.

Anti-gun violence activist Sarah Fishkind filmed the interaction in the Capitol on Tuesday.

The Republican representative from Colorado is seen quickly grabbing the pamphlet and then throwing it in the trash, as a bystander is heard off-camera saying, “We hope you take action on gun violence prevention.”

Today, we’re passing out pins of the green converse that Maite Rodriguez was wearing when she was killed by gun violence at Robb Elementary School to members of congress.

Her legacy will live on, we are making sure of it. Lives Robbed started a campaign in April to “help get Maite’s Chucks to Congress,” in reference to making a pin of the shoes. The organization said it wanted to combat Republican lawmakers’ wearing of AR-15s on their lapels.

On Tuesday, organizers with Moms Demand Action and Lives Robbed—a group speaking out about the impacts of gun violence after the Robb Elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas—were handing out pamphlets dedicated to one victim, Maite Rodriguez. Along with the pamphlet, which included a letter from her mother, the organizers attached a pin of Rodriguez’s green Converse shoes. The pin even had the heart over her right toes that she drew on with a marker.

After an organizer explained the pamphlet to Boebert, thanking her and wishing her a nice day, the Colorado Republican visibly walked faster to the trash can so she could throw it away.

“We hope you take action on gun violence prevention,” an organizer is heard saying as Boebert dashed to the trash. “Maite’s shoes are a symbol of her beauty and strength, and as a reminder that real people are dying every day from gun violence, including small, innocent children,” the group said in an Instagram post. “Instead of celebrating AR-15s, let’s remember all that they have the power to destroy.”

Boebert told Fox News’s Sean Hannity in the wake of the Uvalde tragedy that calls for gun control were unjustified, telling him that the U.S. “didn’t ban planes” in the aftermath of September 11, 2001.
