Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that David Zapata identified as Steel Towing tow truck operator who got cut in half by drunk driver in La Feria.

In the trending video (which we can’t post), David Zapata body was split into two (half) on the road in La Feria of Expressway 83 near the Bass Blvd. exit.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash in Harlingen on the expressway.

Authorities responded at approximately 5:10 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash on the Westbound lanes of Expressway 83 near the Bass Blvd. exit. READ MORE HERE

Texas DPS spokesperson Maria Hernandez confirmed there is one fatality involved in the crash. The victim in the crash is a man.

The Harlingen Police Department was called to the scene to assist with traffic. Our ValleyCentral crews were on the scene where they saw two body bags at the location.

Traffic was being backed up to the interchange in Harlingen and is being deferred onto Stuart Place Road. Authorities say that the entrance ramps were closed off.
