On November 21, 2025 around 8:40 p.m., police say officers were called to a home in the 2700 block of Cedar Street in Louisville, Kentucky on a reported shooting. Upon arrival, police found a man with a gunshot wound to the face. The shooting happened inside of a home and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was identified as 27-year-old Isaiah J. Washington.
On November 22, police said 25-year-old Maria Swann was arrested and charged with murder – domestic violence.
Swann waived her Miranda Rights and admitted to police that she shot the victim during a verbal altercation. Police said the victim and suspect lived together and were in a relationship.
