Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Curry Jerome arrested after he unalived his brother, Terrence Curry in Cahokia Heights.

A 43-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday night at his home in Cahokia Heights.

Terrence Curry of the 4900 block of Piggott Avenue was identified as the victim and a homicide investigation is underway, according to St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr.

Curry, who had celebrated his 43rd birthday about a week before the shooting, was pronounced dead at 8:46 p.m. at the scene, Dye said.

A representative of the Cahokia Heights Police Department could not be reached for comment Friday.

A spokesman for Illinois State Police said the agency is assisting Cahokia Heights. This was the fifth homicide in Cahokia Heights this year, according to reports published in the Belleville News-Democrat.
