We shared that the brother of former NFL star Aqib Talib was wanted in a fatal shooting of a youth football coach in Lancaster, Texas. He has now surrendered to local authorities.
Aqib’s brother, Yaqub Salik Talib, was named as the suspect in the fatal shooting on Saturday (August 13). Lancaster Police Department officials said that a disagreement broke out between coaching staff and an officiating crew member during a youth football game at Lancaster Community Park.
The argument quickly turned physical, and then took a deadly turn as multiple gunshots were heard being fired. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. After a warrant was put out for Yaqub’s arrest, on Monday (August 15), he turned himself into Dallas County Jail officials.
