Atlanta police have arrested and charged 17-year-old Jermarcus Jernigan in the fatal shooting of Rasheeda “Koko” Williams last week.
Officials say the teen turned himself in to police Wednesday and he was taken to the Fulton County Jail.
Jernigan has been charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Koko was shot April 18 after leaving an apartment complex west of downtown Atlanta. Her body was found on a sidewalk adjoining a strip mall across a busy street.
