An unidentified church has announced its new law to ban wedding jobless couples due to certain reasons known to its management and General Overseer. What are thoughts on this issue?
Note: This isn’t the actual church but a picture representation of a church.
Taking to her Facebook page, Chioma Ifeanyi-Eze, revealed that a church she knows of has made a new rule to ban getting jobless couples married in its church premises.
According to the church, couples who wish to get married will provide personal bank statement and a confirmation letter from their employers (if employed).
Secondly, each couple will have to pay a fee for professional investigators to run background checks on them. After all these are done and the couples aren’t jobless, the wedding date will be fixed.
Chioma wrote: “I recently heard of a church that would not wed a couple if both parties are not earning income.
