Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, has been thrown into mourning mood after losing his younger brother. According to him, his younger brother died at the age of 37.
Taking to his Twitter page, Dr. Hamzat, announced that his younger brother who’s a medical doctor, Dr. Haroun Hamzat, has died of COVID-19 last week.
“This week I lost my 37 years old younger brother, Dr. Haroun Hamzat to #COVID19. He was hardworking and well loved, helping alot of patients at the Lagos Primary Healthcare Centre in Orile, Agege.
COVID-19 does not respect anyone and this second wave is affecting across age groups.”

Deputy Governor Hamzat also confirmed that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has paid him a condolence visit. In his tweet, he wrote:
“I thank mr. Governor for visiting my family today and we discussed some of the things the state is doing to ensure our healthcare infrastructure can adequately serve the state.
The first line of defence lies with you. Protect your friends and family by following our guidelines.”
