From once being in poverty, Tyler Perry is officially a Billionaire

Hollywood playwright and actor, Tyler Perry is officially a Billionaire, according to a popular business magazine, Forbes.

Tyler Perry, who was raised in abject poverty in New Orleans, US is now a Billionaire. He is the man behind the popular movie character, Madea. 

Here are his sources of being a Billionaire:

1. $40M in homes and toys. 

2. $60M for his equity stake in BET+ the streaming service.

3. He owns 100% of his works/creative output, including more than 1,200 episodes of television, 22 feature films, and at least two dozen stage plays, accompanied with a 330 acre studio in Georgia. 

4. $300M in cash and investments. 

Forbes has estimated Tyler’s net worth at $1Billion. He joins the likes of Black Billionaire entrepreneurs, such as: Jay Z, Kanye West, Oprah Winfrey and Diddy.
