A native son of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, Alvin’s final act of bravery was in San Jose, Nueva Ecija, where he gave his life while performing a rescue mission amidst treacherous floodwaters. His sacrifice was not only a display of exceptional courage but a powerful testament to the noble spirit of service and humanity that defines our profession.
Alvin’s unwavering commitment to protect and serve others, even at the cost of his own life, is a legacy that transcends borders. Though he lived and worked far from home, his heart never left the people.
We extend our deepest condolences to his bereaved family in Nueva Ecija and Aurora. May they find comfort in knowing that Alvin died not in vain—but as a hero whose name will forever be remembered among the ranks of the bravest.
