The identity of the heroic pilot who flew the Military Aircraft that crashed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, has finally been revealed. According to source, there were two pilots.

Today is definitely a Black Sunday in Nigeria as all passengers were reportedly dead in a military aircraft crash at Bassa Airport, Abuja. According to reports, the plane crash occurred in Abuja Airport this afternoon.

The heroic pilot who made sure the aircraft didn’t crash into the residential area has been identified as FLT LT Chiroma Haruna Gadzama, with his co-pilot, FLT LT Piyo.

A source told The Punch that the FLT LT Chiroma complained about the failure of the engine before departure. The source said in a statement:

“The aircraft was on its way to Minna. Moments after, on getting to Bassa Local Government Area, he informed the control tower that he had experienced an engine failure.

He was advised to return to the Abuja airport immediately but it crash-landed.

When asked if the identities of those on board had been ascertained, the official said they were in the process of doing so.

There have been frequent flights to Niger State since the abduction of the schoolkids. Last week some ministers also flew. Soon, we will know their identities.”

According to an eyewitness, he revealed that no survivor was seen during the military/chartered aircraft crash in Abuja. Other eyewitnesses say that the pilot took the plane to a bush instead of a residential area it was supposed to crash into. Seven (7) of the passengers all died in the crash.

In the video, Firefighters are seen as they try their best to quench the fire. In the same video, a man is heard saying “see dead bodies.” Nigerian Air Force Beechcraft KingAir B350i aircraft that crashed close to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Sunday, has thrown Nigerians into mourning mood. Nigerians are currently on social reacting and hailing the pilot.
