NERC suspends plan to increase tariff.

NERC(Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission) has suspended plans to increase tariff of end-use customers. 

Earlier today, it was reported that NERC had planned to increase tariff of end-use customers, which would have been effective from April 1, 2020.

The suspension of the tariff was announced on their official Twitter page. 

NERC reported: “Order 198/2020 says, ‘There shall be no increase in tariff of end-use customers on April 1, 2020. Performance improvement plan will form basis for future tariff review”
