Taking to social media, Dj Nelson, confirmed that Sir Trill has passed away in the early hours of Saturday, February 4, 2023. 

He wrote: “WHAT’S HAPPENING IN South Africa guys. We are losing our music artists after and after we lost Mampintsha last month, this month is Sir Trill. 

“Rest in Power our Amapiano legends. We will always miss you. The joy you brought to people. Rest in peace.”
