Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Chief Hosi Clyde Mnisi’s sister, Ntombi Mnisi, shot dead 10 times with a rifle in a Mercedes V Class Benz at McDonald’s drive-thru in HazyView.
According to police, the 35-year-old was fatally shot while a man she was with sustained injuries when two armed suspects stormed a certain food establishment.
Her death follows the March 2023 death of her brother and alleged rhino poaching kingpin Hosi Clyde Mnisi who was also fatally shot in what is believed to be a hit & just over a week later, his wife Charlene Mathews was shot dead at their residential place.
Mnisi’s sister is believed to be one of the candidates who would possibly be next in line for the chieftaincy and her death comes as engagements between the House of Traditional Leaders and COGTA on who should ascend the throne are underway.
While the motive behind Thursday’s killing is unknown at this stage, provincial chairperson of the House Kgoshi Lameck Mokoena has called on royal families to create safe and open spaces to ventilate issues.
