Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Mason Greenwood pictured with private coach as he returned to training following rape allegations.
Our exclusive pictures show him working on his close control and shooting in a 90-minute session on an £85-an-hour pitch.
He has grown his hair since he was last pictured — and was not wearing Nike boots after the firm ended their sponsorship deal.
Greenwood, who is expecting a child with his partner this summer, was arrested in January 2022 after a woman made allegations of physical and sexual abuse.
He was due to stand trial this year — but all the charges were dropped in February. The disgraced gem also wore black boots bearing no detail after losing his sponsorship deals with Nike following last year’s revelations. EA Sports also removed him from its FIFA titles in response to his arrests.
The Sun reported this month that boss Erik ten Hag and most first-team players are willing to give him a second chance.
A source said: “Like him or not, Mason wants to get back to playing football. It’s the thing he’s best at and the only way for him to successfully rebuild his life.
“He is fed up with waiting around and he and his team now expect an answer one way or another from United.” United are still to make a decision over the player’s future, and Greenwood trained alone with a personal coach on an £85-an-hour pitch this week. Pictures published by The Sun show him dressed in a black t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms, he looked to have lost some muscle mass compared to when he was playing and training with the rest of the squad.
Greenwood has also grown out his hair, which appeared wild and unruly compared to his previous short trim. He was also fitted with a ‘PLAYR’ fitness monitor vest to track his levels throughout the session.
