A 26-year-old woman arrested in connection with the double m

urder at Inxiweni Primary School in Tembisa is expected to appear before the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, 21 November 2025.

Police spokesperson Col Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed the arrest, saying the suspect was taken into custody on Wednesday.

“I can confirm that a 26-year-old woman has been arrested and is expected to appear before the Tembisa court tomorrow,” Nevhuhulwi said.

The woman is linked to the fatal shooting of school principal Nozibele Tabu (58) and administrative assistant Nobantu Njomboni (55), who were gunned down inside the school’s administration block on Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, the two victims were preparing for a meeting scheduled to take place later this week when a gunman gained entry into the office and opened fire.

Nevhuhulwi said police responded to the scene shortly after 16:15 on 18 November 2025 following reports of a shooting.

“Upon arrival, police found two female bodies lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Both victims were certified dead at the scene,” she said.

The motive for the attack remains unknown, and police say investigations are continuing.

Authorities have not yet revealed the suspect’s role in the shooting or whether she acted alone or with accomplices.

However according to reports, the 26 year old suspect was found with a substantial amount of cash and had paper trail of transactions from the school’s account to her personal banking account.
