Monroe, Louisiana (October 29, 2025) — The Monroe Police Department has has arrested 24-year-old Travis Tyrone Payton in connection with a triple homicide that has left the local community shaken to its core.

According to booking records from the Ouachita Correctional Center, Payton faces multiple charges, including three counts of first-degree murder, home invasion, and criminal conspiracy. His arrest stems from a violent incident that occurred on October 28 in Monroe.

Local leaders and residents are calling for unity and healing following the devastating loss. “We are deeply saddened by the loss of innocent lives, especially a child,” one community member said. “This city needs peace, not more pain.”
