Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Tumo Mmolawa detained in jail over defamation against Bophelong hospital doctor.

MMABATHO – In a developing story, prominent Magogoe business figure Tumo Mmolawa has been allegedly taken into police custody following a social media post targeting a local doctor.

According to our sources, Mmolawa was arrested at his residence on Monday morning. The arrest is in connection with a now-viral Facebook post published last week, in which he allegedly made serious allegations against a doctor from Bophelong hospital.

A case of defamation of character was allegedly opened by the doctor in question, leading to the investigation and subsequent arrest.

While official confirmation is pending, unverified reports indicate that Mmolawa is scheduled to make his first court appearance at the Mmabatho Magistrate Court on Thursday morning. He is currently allegedly being held in the holding cells at the Mmabatho Police Station.
