Police are still searching for 5-month-old Kason Thomas who went missing after he and his twin brother Ky’air were abducted at a Donatos Pizza restaurant parking lot in Columbus, Ohio on Monday. According to ABC News, the mother of the twin babies was picking up a food order when 24-year-old suspect Nalah Jackson (pictured) was believed to have entered the 2010 Honda Accord and sped off with the infants.
Ky’air was found around 5 AM on Tuesday at the Dayton International Airport, nearly 70 miles from where his mother’s car had been stolen. With the toddler now safe and sound, Columbus police Chief Elaine spoke at a news conference on Tuesday, pleading for Nalah to give up the other child. “We’re begging you to please return Kason,” she said. “Right now our concern is to get the baby. We want to make sure Kason is safe.”
According to the police report, Nalah was seated inside the restaurant when the mother came to collect her order, but it wasn’t long before the suspect left and is accused of getting inside the Honda Accord. An amber alert was not issued until four hours after cops were called to the scene, which law enforcement officials say was because the newly-purchased car had missing license plates.
