Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Sherrone Moore fired after cheating on his wife with Paige Shiver.

After University of Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore was fired with cause Wednesday, he was booked into the Washtenaw County Jail, records show.

According to the school, Moore engaged “in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.”

The Washtenaw County Jail records showed Moore had been booked there Wednesday. It’s not clear what for.

The university said that “credible evidence” of the relationship was found after an investigation.

“This conduct constitutes a clear violation of University policy, and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior,” U-M said in a statement.

Biff Poggi has been named interim head coach.

Moore previously served as the tight ends coach at Michigan for three seasons, before being promoted to offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. In 2024, he was named head coach after Jim Harbaugh’s departure to the NFL.

News 8 caught up with some University of Michigan fans outside of the Griffins game Wednesday night. While some fans were shocked by the news and hesitant about the future of Wolverine football, their faith in their team still holds strong.

“The problem is, all the good coaches have already been snatched up. So I think they’re going to have a little bit of trouble,” lifelong fan David Posthumus said.

“Whoever they’re picking, and if the recruits say, they’re going to beat Ohio next year. So we’re in good hands, either way,” said Kennon Aldridge, another lifelong fan.
