Today’s launch comes after two years of “listening to, consulting and mobilisation and in communities” across the country.

Some of the noticeable faces on Rise Mzansi is Makashule Gana, former DA member of Parliament.

Ishmael Mkhabela, Apartheid activist and former president of AZAPO.

Axolile Notywala, former national Coordinator for the Right2Know Campaign.

Vuyiswa Ramagkopa, Rise Mzansi National Chairperson, says the formation of this political party was borne out of a vision “to one day deliver a government that South Africans have been yearning for.

Songezo Zibi, Rise Mzansi leader, says lack of solutions around issues facing the country have left many people depressed.

“It is not the load shedding that demoralises us, it is the sense that we have lost the ability to deal with it,” he said.
