The City of Cape Town has closed two beaches due to sewage spills; Small Bay near Blaauwberg and Strand Beach along the False Bay coast are off-limits to visitors until further notice

The City of Cape Town has closed two beaches due to sewage spills. Small Bay near Blaauwberg and Strand Beach along the False Bay coast are off-limits to visitors until further notice.

 This will make it possible for city officials to collect water samples for analysis.

In another news, Police have seized a car in connection with a fuel theft incident to conduct an investigation. 

A Marshall Security armed response officer pursued and apprehended the driver after he filled his tank with R500 worth of fuel from a gas station and sped off in Briardene, Durban.
