Umno has sacked 4 members for contesting in GE15 under a different banner, after they were dropped from Barisan Nasional’s candidate list

Umno has sacked 4 members for contesting in GE15 under a different banner, after they were dropped from Barisan Nasional’s candidate list.

They are:

Shahidan Kassim (Arau)

Zahidi Zainul Abidin (Padang Besar)

Ismail Abd Muttalib (Maran)

Azhar Ahmad (Kuala Perlis state seat).

Meanwhile, PAS will allow Shahidan and Ismail to defend their seats under its flag, as they were set to contest under Perikatan Nasional.

PAS says the duo have yet to join PAS or any PN component party, but election rules do not require a candidate to be a member of a party.
