Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Douglas Irwin Shaw unalived Renia Lewis as he nailed her behind a wall of an abandoned house in Vallejo.
What began as a desperate search for 28-year-old Renia Lewis ended in unspeakable tragedy. The missing Berkeley woman was discovered dead — hidden behind a “secret wall” in the attic of a Vallejo home that investigators had already searched just days earlier.
According to the Vallejo Police Department, detectives first went to the house on Sunday after learning Renia may have been there before she vanished. Officers conducted a cursory search of the cluttered, hoarder-style property but found no sign of her.
🔎 On Tuesday, armed with a search warrant, investigators returned. That’s when they uncovered a concealed entry into the attic — where Renia’s body was hidden behind a false wall.
“You would miss it because my baby girl was hidden behind a wall. A secret wall they placed her behind,” Renia’s cousin, Latoya Lewis, told KTVU.
😢 Renia’s mother, Teri Lewis, collapsed when she received the news. “On our way [there] I was praying. I just prayed, ‘God please don’t let it be her, please don’t let it be.’ And he didn’t answer my prayer,” she said.
The family had been searching for her on their own, even finding her phone on the roof of a nearby school. “We all came to search for her, not knowing she was here in the wall — gone,” her mother added.
👤 Police arrested 41-year-old Douglas Irwin Shaw at his job the same day Renia was found. Authorities say Shaw provided a statement to detectives admitting responsibility for what they called a “heinous crime.”
Shaw has been charged with murder and booked into the Solano County Jail. Police have not disclosed the relationship between Shaw and Renia, nor how she was killed.
💔 “He needs to sit there and suffer for my daughter because she didn’t deserve this,” Renia’s mother said.
