Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Lecturer recording a female Muslim student who refused to remove her hijab in classroom at ABUAD UNIVERSITY.
In the trending video, the lecturer at Abuad is seen using his phone to film an unidentified Muslim student as he tried to remove her headscarf, but she kept on spinning, making it difficult for the lecturer.
Uthman wrote: “All Muslims should boycott @Abuad_Uni if it fails to address and tackle the issue of discrimination and harassment against our Muslim sisters wearing the Hijab.
“They asked her to remove her veil,
She refused and the lecturer said he will video her and send to the VC! This is the height of it at @Abuad_Uni. We call on the entire Muslim Parents to withdraw their children from this school. Wallahi it is better for you if you know.”
Academic and non-academic staff of the Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, on Wednesday, lauded the institution’s founder, Aare Afe Babalola, for effecting 35 per cent pay raise for them within 48 hours.
ABUAD Vice Chancellor, Prof. Smaranda Olarinde, explained that the gesture was to cushion the effect of the hardship occasioned by fuel subsidy removal.
Olarinde spoke when staff of the institution filed out to show appreciation to Babalola.
