Yesterday, it was reported that fire had gutted an electricity pole and wires at a popular street in Ebute Metta, Lagos state. This will be the second tragic that has befallen on the people who resides in Ebute Metta.
Five days ago, it was reported that fire destroyed the sawmill at Okobaba in the same Ebute Metta. A few properties were destroyed but no loss of lives were reported. Within just three months in 2021, Nigeria has experienced many fire outbreaks.
In the trending video, a PHCN or NEPA pole and wires were seen sparking at Simpson Street in Ebute Metta. According to reports, PHCN officials haven’t visited the street to find out what led to the fire and what would be the solution. Anyways, this is Nigeria. PHCN officials might visit that street in six months time.
