Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Nina Lopez has refused to apologize after she lied to ICE agents she was looking for her mom before Laura Murillo was detained in 47 y Western.

Information reads: “How sick can you be? The tamale lady from 47th & Western is named, Laura Murillo, which in the video “Nina Lopez” who lied and said she was “looking for her mom” said the name was “Genesis Gomez”. Then proceed to make a post “laughing” at her lie.”
Her fiancé Jaime Perez said Murillo, who has lived in the U.S. for more than a decade and has no criminal record, called him around 7:30 a.m. to say immigration agents were arresting her.
She is now being held at an ICE processing center in Broadview. Her arrest may be connected to “Operation Midway Blitz,” an ICE effort that officials say has led to more than 500 arrests since September 1.
Local advocates report that immigration enforcement has recently intensified around the Back of the Yards area.
