The Attorney General of Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has compared the ban on open grazing to ban on spare parts in the Northern parts of Nigeria. His statement was aimed at Southern Governors’ call for ban on open grazing in the region.
While speaking with Seun on ChannelsTv tonight, AGF Malami says every Nigerian has a right to be anywhere he or she wants. He continued as he asked a question, which is: Can you deny a right of a Nigerian?
In his words, he says:
“It’s about constitutionality. Within the context of the freedoms enshrined in our constitution, can you deny a right of a Nigerian?
“For example, it’s as good as saying the northern governors coming together to say they forbid spare parts trading in the north. Does it hold water?”
