Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ibrahim Pantami, has announced the sales of SIM cards again after a few months it got stopped. This came out he was exposed for being on the US terror watch list.
A source has confirmed to our media outlet the sudden reason for the immediate reselling of SIM cards by the minister. According to source, the minister’s sudden change of mind for resale of SIM cards is to divert Nigerians’ attention from the news published about him having a link to Boko Haram and Al-Qaeda.
The source said: “Isa Pantami allowed the resale of SIM cards again because he wants to divert Nigerians’ attention from the news about him that he’s a link to Boko Haram and Al-Qaeda. He and his team sat down and thought of a way to remove Nigerians’ minds from his linkage to terrorist groups.”
According to the American Intelligence, Isa has ties with Abu Quatada al Falasimi and other Al-Qaeda leaders. Before his appointment as minister, he used to be an Islamic preacher, who held “dangerous views” against the American and Western government with allegiance to Al-Qaeda.
Isa Pantami is said to be a very close confidant of the late Mohammed Yusuf, the killed leader of Boko Haram, with whom he allegedly shared Jihadist doctrines, Independent Newspaper reported.
After the news of Isa Pantami being on the US Govt terror watch list went viral, Nigerians began to panic because he has access to Nigerians’ NIN (National Identification Number). Some Nigerians are calling for his arrest, while some are looking for a way to unlink their NIN from their SIM cards.
