Mampintsha suffered a stroke. The 40 year old Mandla Maphumulo was admitted at King Edward Hospital in Durban then later transferred to Durdoc Hospital in Durban Central.
"On Saturday, 17 December 2022, we received a call informing us to rush to his house. Whe we arrived there, he looked very sick. His speech was already affected. He told us he consulted a sangoma and he was told to do amagobongo (a traditional ceremony)", confirmed his sister.
According to an update, before he sufered stroke, Mpintsho asked his mother and sister to buy a goat and get impepho so he could perform a ritual but he never arrived. He told the family to perform the ritual without him. Days later, they learned (heard) that he had suffered stroke was even in hospital.
Pinki told the people's paper that Mpintsho's wife, Babes is sidelining them because when they contacted her, she told them Mpintsho is fine.
"we know he is very sick but we are being sidelined again and there is nothing we can do. We are worried and scared that something bad might happen to him."
His mother Zama Gumede told us she was glad he voluntarily contacted isangoma. He is not sick and the hospital will not help him, he needs to do amagobongo and I have been telling him all along but he wouldn't listen."
