A Thai transgender activist and business tycoon has acquired the Miss Universe Organisation for $20 million, JKN Global Group Public said. (Read More Here).

“Extremely important, not just for me, but for all the women and trans women,” JKN CEO, Anne Chakrajutathib said.

Anne studied in an all boys’ school and was often bullied for identifying as female, the Bangkok Post said. 

According to the New York-based Human Rights Watch report, Thailand does not have a proper framework for people to change their legal genders.
