According to Fani, he wants President Muhammadu Buhari to address Nigerians on a live television broadcast so that the rumours about he being positive for COVID-19 and being flown to another country for treatment will be clarified. 

Fani Kayode wrote: "I urge President Muhammadu Buhari to conduct a LIVE television broadcast to assure the Nigerian people that he is well and that he has not flew our shores to seek medical treatment 

The rumours are heartbreaking and disheartening 

We deserve to be reassured that we have not been abandoned midstream"
