Taking to Instagram, Gist merchant (popular Investigative Blogger), reveals how Chidi Mbah scams his victim. According to G.M, he operates a POS shop at Obanla street opposite Gateway Polytechnic at Igbesa Ogun state. He lives at Iya Peter house at the back of Onifada.

His name is Chidi Mbah, he operates a POS shop at Obanla street opposite Gateway Polytechnic at Igbesa Ogun state. He lives at Iya Peter house at the back of Onifada.
How he operates is this: a scammer will pose as a vendor on instagram. They could be selling anything, clothes, accessories, crypto, phones, forex etc. When you unknowingly patronise the scammer, they drop Chidi Mbah’s account for you, then proceed to blocking you after payment. Then they go to him and he pays out the money in cash or transfer to another account all at a fee. A series of such scammer/vendor transactions were reported leading me to fish him out. Now this is were it gets tricky.
Because of his business front, when he is caught, he feigns ignorance. He claims a lot of people have his account number and sends money to him and comes for cash. He acts outraged and acts as a victim too. He claims the scammers/vendor sends victims to pay into his account then when they come to cash out, they ask him to transfer to another account because their own account is student account and cant carry more than 50k naira. (What kind of nigerian account doesnt hold more than 50k please. Somebody clarify.).
But even at that, i mean the same person keeps directing funds from different names to your account and then proceeds to telling you to move each transaction to his own account and you kept doing it without your brain asking you who are these people he is telling to pay into your account? I’m sorry i find it very hard to believe you Chidi.
Ignorance has been his only defence since i fished him out. Since then, i have been getting threats and insults from various people that from their profiles you can see they are of questionable character and occupation defending him. What they don’t know is that they are actually making matters worse for him.
In the meantime, Request video calls before you pay for any service from instagram. The video chat option on the app makes it all the more easy.
