A 500 level Mechanical Engineering student of Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTminna), has driven the rechargeable or electric car he built by himself as his final year project.
At every university, final year students usually get engaged in projects. Students are meant to pick a topic, research and work on the chosen topic. In the end, the final year students will be called upon to defend their projects.
After defending his project, the year 5 student of FUTminna cruised round campus with his car. His car caused serious stirs on campus as students came out to see and take pictures with his car.
After cruising with his car on campus, he took it to the major road, which immediately arrested the attentions of many passers-by. He named his car "Meczy Sport."
After the video went viral, Nigerians immediately began to react and applaud the yet-to-be-identified 500 level student of Mechanical Engineering. Nigerians began to catch cruise by comparing his electronic car to that of Elon Musk's Tesla car.
