Nigerian singer, Burnaboy, has officially become the first Nigerian and African to win BET Award for Best International Act category.
He won the first one in 2019. The second one in 2020 and the third one in 2021. Davido currently has two BET Awards. In another news, Cardi B announced she's pregnant for the second time. (Read More Here).
Burna defeated Wizkid and a few others to win "Best International Act" category at the 2021 BET Awards. When he went up on stage to receive his award, he praised his mother by saying she's the "most beautiful woman on earth."
During his acceptance speech, Burnaboy made or taught African-Americans a few words in Nigerian Pidgin English.
He says:
"Thank you everyone.
Thank you to my mum. The most beautiful woman on earth. Who normally would be making the speech for me because I really don't like talking on the microphone.
My mom is here.
One thing I want to do before I leave here. I'm going to teach you a little about where you are really from. When I say "Una dey here?"
You say "we dey?"
