Nigerian beat maker, Victor "Beats by Jayy" Chujor-Idowu, dies of Covid-19 complications at the age of 28

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it young Nigerian music producer, Victor Chujor-Idowu, popularly known as, Beats By Jayy, has died of Covid-19 complications. (Read More Here).

His family has released a statement, which revealed the cause of his death. A few days ago, it was reported that the Nigerian producer was in an ICU. He passed away at the age of 28.

Taking to his Twitter page, Blaqbonez, penned an emotional tribute to Beats By Jayy. According to Blaqbonez, he says Jayy produced two songs from his album. 

Blaqbonez wrote: "this one hurt so much, got the news yesterday and still had to go and perform a song you produced, but at every show we would rave to Okwaraji so even though you’re gone, your work would Live on forever. 

Some of the songs Beats by Jayy produced:

1. Martell Cypher 1&2 
2. 5 songs on Sex Over Love and already produced 2 songs for my next album. 
3. 3 songs on Cheque’s Bravo album. Almost every song on every AQ album. 
4. Judah Ep for MI  
5. Survivors remorse album for Loose Kaynon, and more. 

Family's statement reads: 

"Victor Chujor-Idowu A.K.A Beats by Jayy A.K.A Big Daddy Jayy will be in our hearts forever. 
October 11, 1993 - November 2021. 
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of multi-talented producer/singer and songwriter Victor Chujor-Idowu aka Beats by Jayy. 
He passed away at the age of 28 following complications from Covid-19. 
He is survived by his mother and siblings. We would appreciate that you grant us the utmost privacy as we grieve this tragic loss.
