Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Judge Mia has dismissed Mama Jackie's interim application to have Amanda du Pont urgently be interdicted to remove her video content implying Mama Jackie uses muti. (Read More Here).

Recall that a few weeks ago, Amanda Du-Pont revealed that Mama Jackie uses umuti and was in support of her son, Jub Jub raping her in her home. 

Taking to his Twitter page, Mc kaiser, shared information about the incident. 

McKaiser wrote:

"NEWS JUST IN: Judge Mia has dismissed Mama Jackie's interim application to have Amanda du Pont urgently be interdicted to remove her video content implying Mama Jackie uses muti. Amanda du Pont also doesn't need to retract these muti and related remarks in writing (obviously).

"The main basis for Judge Mia dismissing Mama Jackie's application is that granting the order would be "tantamount to a gagging order", and at any rate the requirements of urgency aren't met.

Mama Jackie's matter is struck from the roll.

"Beautiful preliminary arguments from Adv Tembeka Ngcukaitobi about the importance of open justice and media freedoms, opposing the narrow view of Mama Jackie's counsel, Adv Vicky Olivier, that media shouldn't live broadcast the main hearing. 

Opaque processes must be opposed.

"Adv Tembeka Ngcukaitobi also tells Judge Mia not to fall for cultural stereotyping, saying that Mama Jackie's case is reliant on old assumptions of irrational Black people mobbing someone using muti- without any tangible evidence for these shock stereotypes about Black "culture".

"The muti thing is a red herring. Muti is medicine. It's like panado. The correlation drawn between muti and witchcraft (is false). Muti is like Grand-Pa" argues Adv Tembeka Ngcukaitobi to undercut Mama Jackie's claim that Amanda du Pont endangered her life with the muti claim.

"Legal arguments can be entertaining.

Adv Tembeka Ngcukaitobi accuses Mama Jackie of self-defamatory behaviour, claiming she is describing herself as a witch since Amanda du Pont doesn't do so in the video that is the basis of this case. Effectively, Tembeka says she's fibbing."
