Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that an event by Sauti Sol star Willis Chimano dubbed Love and Harmony has been cancelled by the police. (Read More Here).
Taking to social media, Wills Chimano, revealed that the police has cancelled his forthcoming festival, which would have been held on February 20, 2022.
The reason for the cancellation could be allegedly connected to the fact Chimano is gay.
Statement reads:
"It's with great regret that we announce that the LOVE AND HARMONY FESTIVAL has been called off, scheduled for the 26th of February 2022.
Unfortunately, and despite our preparedness, we've been informed by the Kenya police that we can not host our event due to security reasons.
"Despite us approaching them for a further explanation and heeding their advice to have the event out of Westlands, we met the same hurdle at our new venue, The Junction Mall. Both venues were and are more than willing to host us, however, without the goodwill of the police we can not proceed. Goodwill which was unfairly and unjustly denied.
"First and foremost, to our fans and supporters, thank you for promoting and supporting the festival. Secondly, to the ticket buyers, sponsors and partners, thank you for investing and believing in the festival. This is not the end of the LOVE AND HARMONY."
