Touch did not confirm nor deny the news when the paper contacted him. He referred them to the SABC, and the SABC's group executive for corporate affairs and marketing Gugu Ntuli told the publication that the new line-up will be announced soon.

According to reports, Tbo Touch, will be the host for an afternoon drive show. He resumes work with Metro FM on April 1, 2022.

The afternoon drive slot is currently manned by Sphe “DJ Sphectacula” Ngwenya and Lebogang “DJ Naves” Naves – known by radio lovers as Kings of the Weekend.

"He will be part of the new line-up changes that the station will be making in the new radio financial. He is excited to be back at home," a source told The Dailly Sun.

Touch previously revealed in an interview with Thabo T-bose Mokwele at Kaya FM that he left the station as a matter of principle and that he was getting paid R200k monthly when he left Metro FM.

“I was getting about R200 000 a month when I left. It was a nice cheque.”

“No one’s ever left in their prime. If you look at where I was there, you’ll know what I’ve done.”

“You don’t make that kind of decision when you’re earning the biggest cheque in the building. [I said] ‘I’m out!’ on principle.”

South Africans have rushed to their social media to react as they express excitement in the return of Tbo Touch to host 'Touch Down' afternoon drive show on METRO FM.

Shocking! But Tbo Touch's return to Metro FM is necessary. This radio station has lost its palse, tangibility and substance.Broadcasting style has become very monotonous from show to show, some presenters are forgettable and unmemorable .Congratulations to him.Change is vital.

[email protected]_jules·4hOnly reason I am cheering for Tbo is for the culture, yep the very Hip_ Hop they claiming it's dead πŸ₯΄πŸ™„ revive the movement touch, we the lovers of great music are still supporting.
