VIDEO: LAPD releases official statement over slap incident from Will Smith to comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars 2022

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), have released an official statement over slapping incident between Will Smith and Chris Rock at the Oscars 2022. 


While on stage yesterday, Chris Rock made a joke about Jada loss of hair (Alopecia), which she talked about on her show - 'The Red Table Talk.'

Chris Rock says: "Jada, I love you. 
G.I Jane 2, can't wait to see you. That was a nice one. It's OK. I'm out of here."

Funnily enough, Will Smith laughed, but suddenly went up stage to slap Chris Rock, which seemed like a punch. 

After the incident, LAPD, says that the assaultee hasn't filed for any report, but of later Chris Rock decides to file for a report, they will open an investigative case. 

LAPD official statement reads:

"LAPD investigative entities are aware of an incident between two individuals during the Academy Awards program. The incident involved one individual slapping another. The individual involved has declined to file a police report. If the involved party desires a police at the later date, LAPD will be available to complete an investigative report."
