VIDEO: Former president, Donald Trump walks out of Piers Morgan during an explosive interview

Former president Donald Trump walked out on an interview with Piers Morgan after the British broadcaster challenged him about his false claims about widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election. (Read More Here).

In a contentious exchange, Morgan told Trump that he had not produced “hard evidence” of voter fraud, prompting the former president to lash out, according to the New York Post, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.

Late Wednesday, NBC News reported that it had obtained an audio recording of part of the interview from a Trump spokesman that suggested that rather than Trump leaving angrily, Morgan and Trump had an amicable parting.

“I don’t think you’re real,” Trump said, according to the New York Post and the video. In remarks to the production crew, he called Morgan “very dishonest.”

NBC News, however, reported that it obtained an audio recording from Trump spokesman Taylor Budowich that portrayed a far different ending, with Morgan thanking Trump and the two men laughing. In the audio, Morgan tells Trump, "That was a great interview.”

Trump agrees with a “yeah.”

"Thank you very much. I really appreciate it,” Morgan said.

The audio was for part of the interview, so it was unclear whether Trump tried to end it at other points in the discussion.

“With respect, you haven’t produced the hard evidence,” Morgan says at one point in the teaser clip, as Trump attempts to speak over him.

Elsewhere, Trump gets in a zinger at Morgan: “I don’t think you’re real!”

The clip ends with Trump grumbling “Turn the camera off ... Very dishonest,” and walking away from where he and Morgan had been sitting.

The full interview is scheduled to air in the U.S. on Monday, April 25, on Fox Nation, Fox News’s streaming service.
