Taking to social media, Raila Odinga wrote: "Hon. David Sankok, it is painful to experience losing a child, and even more so, difficult having to bury one; we stand with you during this difficult time.

"Please accept condolences from Mama Ida and I. May God grant your entire family fortitude.
We are praying for you."

Millicent Omanga also wrote: "We grieve with Hon. David Sankok following the tragic loss of his dear son. David, we are so sorry for your loss, and send a prayer your way. We hope you find peace and comfort in your time of grief."

His father, David Ole Sankok is currently under fire as they began to ask if he has also used his son for money ritual for fame.

Recall that Sankok had speculated that Raila Odinga had used son, Fidel, for money to ritual and now, Kenyans are trolling him.

Narok County Criminal Investigations Officer (CCIO) Mwenda Ethaiba told The Standard that the teenager, who is a secondary school student, used his father’s firearm to shoot himself.

The incident happened at Sankok’s Ewaso Nyiro home in Narok at 3pm Monday.

“The boy, who is the firstborn child in their family, reportedly accessed the firearm from his dad’s bedroom,” said Ethaiba.

Police said the teenager fired a bullet in his chin which exited through the right side of his head.

According to Ethaiba, the motive of the alleged suicide remains unclear.

“We are yet to record statements from the boy’s parents,” he said.

The 15-year-old high school student was supposed to join Form Three after schools opened on April 25.
