Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that The Headies is demanding video and written apology from Mr. Habeeb Okikiola Portable Omololami Zazu Zeh after threatening fellow nominees.
According to information, Portable Omololami Zazu Zeh, has finally tendered an open video apology to The Headies.
Statement from The Headies:
In response to the online video publication by music artist, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as, 'Portable' on May 25, 2022, Smooth Promotions Limited, the organisers of The Headies, hereby inform the general public as follows:
"In the video, Mr. Okikiola who received two Headies nominations made verbal threats to harm or cause harm to other nominees in both award categories if he does not receive the award.
"The Headies condemns such acts and are vehemently opposed to the utterance of any threats or actions that contravene our laws.
"We've notified the Nigerian Force Police of Mr. Okikiola's actions to fellow nominees of the awards.
"Also, a demand of immediate retraction of the video from Mr. Okikiola's social media platforms as well as written apology to the nominees in both categories and to the Headies has been made.
"Should Mr. Okikiola fail to meet our demands, we would not only disqualify him from participating in the Headies but also enforce the instrumentalities of the law of the fullest..."
