As soon as her passing was reported by her mother, Kailia Posey's mysterious circumstances of the situation began emerging. First, there was a report that suggested she was involved in a car accident in Las Vegas. However, this report didn't match with a description of a juvenile death in Washington State that was reported on Tuesday as well. Trooper Jacob Kennett confirmed Posey was pronounced dead in Birch Bay State Park at around 01:20 pm on Monday.
As the news kept coming, it was the folks at TMZ who got to speak directly with the late star's family to apparently confirm the worst fears. No further details about Kailia's death were given, other than she decided to take her own life. However, only TMZ is reporting this and more research is being conducted from this case. Local authorities also stated they wouldn't release more information because this is an ongoing investigation.

Posey's family has set up Kailia Posey Teen Crisis Intervention Fund with the goal of getting 'much needed resources to students in crisis.'
Her body was found Monday inside a car at a park in Washington state, authorities confirmed to DailyMail.com.
Birch Bay State Park, where Posey was first discovered by authorities, is a 194-acre state park located along the Strait of Georgia shoreline, about nine miles from the Canadian border, and features a scenic rocky beach and large camping ground.
Posey had just celebrated her 16th birthday on April 19 and attended her high school prom over the weekend.
On Monday, Posey's mother, Marcy Posey Gatterman, confirmed the news of her death via Facebook. She was 16.
At the time, Gatterman shared a photo of Posey dressed in the sparkly gown she wore to prom last month.
