JUST IN: Assistant Commander Police and Area Commander of Police in Dutsinma, Aminu Umar Dayi, dies after being killed by bandits in an ambush at Zakka forest, Safana in Katsina state

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Area Commander of Police in Dutsinma, Aminu Umar Dayi, dies after being killed by terrorists. 

According to information, there was serious clash between the police and terrorists in Yauni in Zakka district of Safana, which took the life of the Area Commander of Police in Dutsinma. 

"Our vigilantes here told us that there will be a combined team of policemen with vigilantes from Kurfi heading to Yauni village to face bandits and they joined the team.

"Later we heard that there was a fatal clash and some police officers and some vigilantes were shot by the bandits.

“However, about seven military vehicles have provided reinforcement in the area; we later saw some police vehicles conveying some bodies but I could not identify the corpses because I was not close to them," a source told Daily Trust. 

Deji's tribute: "Late Area Commander is someone that keenly follow my security/military related tweets. Always at the forefront and do respond to distress calls swiftly, Dustinma and environs will greatly miss his gallantry. RIP."

In another news: Available report indicates President Buhari’s advance convoy conveying media, protocol and security personnel were attacked by Bandits in Dutsima axis in Katsina on Tuesday (05 July,2022), the attack was later repelled by the Combined security forces.
