Samina Baig has become the first Pakistani woman to summit K2

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Samina Baig has become the first Pakistani woman to summit K2. She was part of a seven-member Pakistani team. (Read More Here).

Earlier Baig summited Mount Everest (World's highest peak) as well. Samina and the team scaled the world's second mountain K2 at 7:42am.

United Embassy in Pakistan has congratulated Baig for her latest achievement and success.

The message reads: "Congratulations to #SaminaBaig and #NailaKiani, the first two #Pakistani women to successfully summit the world’s second highest peak, K2. A momentous day and achievement for Pakistani women!"

A Pakistani wrote: "Making Pakistan proud! 

#SaminaBaig who holds the International record for scaling 7 Summits in 7 continents has conquered #K2 

🇵🇰 Zindabad!"
