Kimilili MP, Didmus Barasa, to remain in custody for 10 more days after prosecution made an application for more time to allow detectives complete investigations and allow more witnesses, including NYS and IEBC officials to record statements.

The case will be mentioned on 24.8.2022 for the DPP to confirm the status of investigations before making the decision to charge.

The Kimilili lawmaker is accused of shooting and killing the aide of his closest opponentl in Kimilili parliamentary seat race Mr Brian Khaemba. Mr Barasa has denied the allegations.
