Bobi Wine confirms TikToker, Tracy Bobiholic Teddy Nalubowa, was smuggled into court in absence of her lawyers as she got remanded in Luzira prison for celebrating death of General Elly Tumwine

A 27-year-old Teddy Nalubowa, has been remanded to Luzira until the 26th/Sept on charges related to celebrating the death of Gen. Tumwine.

Nalubowa however, told court presided over by Grade one magistrate Marion Mageni that she was under the influence of alcohol

According to Bobi Wine, he said Tracy Bobiholic was smuggled into the court in the absence of her lawyers and was remanded in Luzira prison.

Bobi Wine wrote: "After 13 days of incommunicado detention, our comrade #TracyBobiholic was smuggled into Court this afternoon in the absence of lawyers and sent to Luzira Prison. Charged with offensive communication. We're yet to speak to her & understand what they did to her in detention."

Aged 68, the ex-combatant and Uganda’s longest serving army representative in Parliament died from Lung cancer in neighboring Kenya on August 25, 2022, igniting public debate over his double-edged legacy.

She had no legal representation or sureties in court. She pleaded not guilty to the charges before telling court that whatever information she posted on her TikTok and Facebook accounts was under the influence of alcohol and therefore, could not intensely remember anything.

Ms Mageni subsequently remanded her until September 26 when she will be returned to court for mention of her case.

Prosecution alleges that Nalubowa on August 23, 2022 at Ndeeba, Rubaga Division in Kampala wilfully and repeatedly used electronic communication on Facebook and TikTok to disturb the peace, quiet or right to privacy of President Museveni to wit “Tumwine finally you have died but you died long time and your boss president Museveni will also die. You will die one-by-one and we shall celebrate” with no purpose of legitimate communication.
